You know how you have a music phase when you listen to your music player and it is the same cd every time. You just play it over and over until one day you are just magically done with that cd. I have had many music phases in the past Jack Johnson, Phish, Kelly Willis, Pat Green, Joss Stone, The Wreckers, Jennifer Knapp and Dido.
My new music phase is Patty Griffin. She has been around a while. I was interested in her music in the past, but only recently really starting appreciating her music and consistently listening to it. I like that it makes me feel like I am sitting outside on a cool Texas night under some shady oak trees, sipping a cold one, and just enjoying the lyricism and relaxed beat. She is just good. All the songs on the cd are different. I really don’t know that much about her, but I do respect her song writing and the music she creates. Check her out if you are looking for something new and well, like women folk/country music.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Patty Griffin!!!!!
She is awesome!
I am glad you discovered her too. Her song writing is incredible. My favorite song is Making Pies on the 1000 kisses CD.
