      This Weekend

      October 14th, 2007 | by amanda | General, what's up

We have been busy doing things for our mission trip this weekend and just plain recovering. Oh, and we got to go on a date Saturday night.

Friday night we had our Philippines Missions Dinner. It was awesome. The band was great, the dancers stole the show, and everyone liked the food. We did not have the turn out that we expected, but it was a really fun night. I was worried about keeping Annabelle up that late, but she did great. She watched everything and kicked her feet. As long as I didn’t try to get her to sleep at church, she was fine. When we were standing on stage and Daniel was explaining the trip, Annabelle started to talk. She is just liker her parents. We like the mic. She may preach and prophecy one day.

Saturday, I pretty much slept in until 12:30. Annabelle slept most of the morning too. I can’t really remember Saturday afternoon. That evening, we had a quick bite of dinner with the Schlueters, then dropped Annabelle at home with the sitter and went to a movie! For real. We saw Elizabeth I: The Golden Age. I really enjoy movies from that time period, so I liked the movie. I already knew the story, so I was not too interested in the plot. Then we stopped for some gelato. Afterwards, because we are insane, we got back home and worked on missions until 1:00 a.m.

Church and missions training was super fun today. We got to do two of my favorite training simulations. I could tell you about them, but we are sworn to secrecy. You will need to sign up for our next trip to find out!

Annabelle had a small fever today and she is congested. She is also officially teething. She grabbed her crib bars and was trying to chew her way out.

Tomorrow, I look forward to tackling the giant island of laundry in our closet.
