      Getting Ready for The Weekend

      February 22nd, 2008 | by amanda | General

      I don’t really have much to say. I just don’t want our toilet to be the first thing greeting you when you come to our blog.

      It has been a good week. Annabelle hadn’t been feeling her best because of allergies, but she got better and her appetite has come back. Which is great! She is also making new faces. She scrunches up her nose and shows you where her front two teeth are about to break through. She is still crawling all over the place and finding every wire she can pull.

      We started watching Season 2 of Heroes this week. Should be a good season. Even if the bad guy seems way more creepy than Silar. At least once an episode I cover my face and let Daniel tell me what happened.

      I never watch the part of American Idol with all 24 contestants. I usually start watching around the top 12 mark, but I fast forwarded through this week. For the girls night, Melia and I just watched the re-cap at the end of the show. It was all we needed to determine whom we thought sucked and who rocked (which weren’t many). I didn’t watch the results show but caught the news on IdolBlogLive.com. Already rooting for Micheal Johns (the Australian guy), Jason Castro (the dreds guy), David Cooke, Brooke White, Carly Smithson, and Amanda Overmeyer (even though she will probably be gone soon.)

      Project Runway finale is coming soon! The reunion show was better than usual. I would be happy if any of them won. I guess I think Christian is going to win, but I really want Jillian to pull a Chloe Dao and come from behind!

      The Oscars are this weekend! We are going to see Atonement before we watch the Oscars. Should be a good weekend.

        and since i can’t comment on the pictures, i want to say that i LOVE “Snack Time with a Few Friends”. i’m loving seeing ace everyday, but also enjoying watching your evolution as a photographer. just want to say that even though this is a great shot no matter who’s behind the camera: great colors, shapes, lines and all that… but especially great is how almost all the other kids are looking at our acie. priceless!

        oh, and i forgot to thank you for sending me the heads up on Cooper’s in NB - expected to open in June, I saw…. wanna roadtrip to the original before then? my gpa and i usually go when the bluebonnets come out.. it’s a great drive!

        @melia

        check back next week - you’ll be able to comment on pictures all you want. just a little teaser for changes coming to te.com

        I like Michael Johns, Jason Castro, David Cook, and David Archuletta for the guys, I only really LOVE Carly for the girls, but Asia’h Epperson, and Ramiele are pretty good. What I didn’t like was the crying Ramiele was doing for the results show…it was a little over the top. This is definitely the guys season!

        I just saw on the web that both Brooke White and David Archuleta are Mormon, did you know that? I kinda suspected that about Archuleta since he’s from Utah, but White surprised me. The articles described her “Mormon glow” which I kinda chuckled about. Though who knows how accurate the web is :)

        i like entertainment weekly’s oscar coverage - ew.com

        i can’t wait for the show on sunday, just to see pretty people. plus i can’t wait to see glen & marketa perform “falling slowly” - which is reason enough to tune in. they’d better win, too.

        enjoy atonement and tell us what you thought!

        I just noticed my post said from “Darah and Connor.” Those stinkers always messing with my computer. I tried to limit them to a generous 2 hours a day, and they snuck on here without my permission. Major restriction happening in the Powell household!

        I do know that David and Brooke are Mormon. One of my friends who is Mormon had me vote for Brooke in another contest before A.I. Brooke already has a music video already done somewhere on the web.
