Seriously. Where did the weekend go?

The Oscars were tonight. Melia and her mom brought over Thai food and Banana Pudding ice cream from Blue Bell.

‘Once‘ winning for Best Song made my night! It made everything else about the night not so bad. ‘Juno‘ won for Best Screenplay too. Nice.
Jon Stewart did a good job hosting. We were often LOLing.

We did watch ‘Atonement‘ today. I am glad I saw it, but I will never watch it again. It was a pretty movie, but it had a darker tone than I expected and the ending was too abrupt. The ending was too much ‘telling’ and not enough ’showing’ for me. My first reaction was that I didn’t like the movie, but as the day went on I liked it more and more. Keira Knightly actually did a really good job in it and didn’t annoy me. I thought the part was good for her. I believe it deserved an Oscar nod for Best Movie, but not enough to win the whole thing.
