I am participating in San Diego Momma’s Tuesday writing prompts.
Here is today’s prompt:
You’ve been taken from your home, blindfolded and put on an airplane. After what seems like forever, you’re led off the plane, and left to stand, alone. You take off the blindfold and see this:

What’s behind the door?
My reponse:
Marie Antoinette’s court is behind the door. She is waiting for me with all her indulgences of pastries and music and dancing. She takes me to a room to pick out my dress and diamond studded shoes. Next a lady comes and does my hair up with brooches of pearls. I don’t wear one of those silly wigs. We enter the court with trumpets and a grand announcement of our arrival and the music starts again. We party the night away in the lavish gardens while chasing each other through the shrubbery while carrying our own bottles of Don Perrion. Later we cool off the evening with a game of whist. We then make our way to our bedrooms of fantastically large beds. Then wake the next day to write letters to our sisters about the grand evening we had a Versailles.

Whimsical and fun! Whist! Champagne! Diamond-studded shoes! Fantasically large beds! I’m in! (And I’ve used too many exclamation points. Sorry.)
