      My Feet Still Hurt

      May 18th, 2008 | by amanda | General

The wedding turned out perfect on Saturday. I had so much fun setting everything up for the 200+ guests attending Hannah and Joshua’s wedding reception at the Koehler House. I wasn’t able to get everything set up in time to drive to the ceremony and back. The linens lady was late and it pushed everything back. Not to mention that there were table and chairs that came late too. I got to work behind the scenes and cue the family and DJ when the cake was going to be cut, first dance, etc. I kept in close contact to Karen (the bride’s mom) to make sure everything was as she wanted. Everything turned out well and looked beautiful. The reception only lasted until about 9:30 pm., but that was okay, because the DJ wasn’t helping the dance floor. Seriously, not one of the best DJ’s on the planet. By the end I was too drained to stay and help clean up. Luckily Karen had a team to help her.

I only had a few minutes to take pictures right before everyone arrived. I didn’t feel like lugging out my camera during the reception. Sorry! The bridal party sat in the pink room. The vases are empty in the photos, because they were filled with the bridesmaids’ bouquets later in the evening. The pictures don’t do the place justice, because there were more tables on the porch and on the grassy areas. I also borrowed a photo of the bride from Breanna’s site, Powerhouse Studios. She did an amazing job as their photographer!

Did anyone play the piano in that round corner? I been to a few dinners there. Nice place.
