Our pastor preached about remembering the Sabbath today, so we took the day off. We had plans to push ourselves and finish the first episode of me and McKenna’s video podcast, “The Mom Crowd Show,” but we had a lazy afternoon instead. While doing our dishes by hand Daniel and I had a chance to talk openly and honestly. Come to find out, we had both been struggling with the same issues. I felt relieved and we got a chance to pray together before Ace woke from her nap. I don’t think our discussion would have happened today if we hadn’t stopped doing and pausing our work for the day.
In other news Ace has had a fever this last week and broke out into a rash this weekend. Apparently it is a common effect from the MMR vaccine. It stinks that she isn’t feeling that great, but it is better than actually having measles, mumps, or rubella.

It’s great to take a break once in a while.
I hope Ace feels better soon.
