A different kind of shopping

As of tomorrow we are officially 5 weeks away from our due date! This past Friday was the last scheduled baby shower so we spent Saturday organizing all of the gifts. The mountain-o-stuff in the living room needed to be conquered. Once we sorted all of the clothes, diapers, bottles, and other paraphernalia we packed up the gift cards and went to Babies ‘R’ Us. They claim that the nurses at the hospital won’t let you take your newborn home without a car seat, and since Amanda wasn’t too keen on me testing this out we figured we should pick one up.

I’m not sure if I will ever get used to going to a place where they hand out chocolate bars and breast pads at the door, but the experience wasn’t that bad. After all we were spending money given through the kindness of other people.
Here’s a picture of some of our haul:

Also, per the suggestion of our personal-baby-shopper, McKenna, we got the BABY BJÖRN carrier. And of course I had to test it out…

It works! Marley enjoyed the ride.
