It’s been a slow end of July for us. This is what one afternoon looked like in our living room.
Daniel’s mom came over one Saturday and gave buzz cuts to all the boys. Annabelle also got a trim.
Zander got his first haircut! He looked like a completely different kid afterwards.
This week Annabelle has really been into the movie, “Bolt.” She has also been learning how to do cartwheels.
Daniel and I have really been enjoying the “Mirror Image” sermon series at River City Community Church. It is a walk through the book of James. Rarely has a sermon series read our mail each week.
The Olympics!
We’ve been very excited about the 2012 London Olympics. This year we have discovered the awesomeness of Archery and Handball.
We watched the opening ceremonies at Fifi and Pappas house.
The next day I did some crafts with the kids. Ace drew a picture of the American flag and then we made a cut and paste one.
Roman made a paper chain.
Zander is doing well. He broke one of his hearing aids, so we had to send it off to be fixed. I am so thankful that Sunshine Cottage (his school) gave us a loaner hearing aid while his was getting fixed. He can climb up and down the stairs on his own now. He also beginning to babble more this week. Here he is as Baby Iron Man.
I have been keeping up with cleaning the house. Hopefully, our carpets will get cleaned next week.
Last weekend I got over a stomach bug. I hate feeling nauseated and having flashbacks of morning sickness. Also, Advil Sinus has been saving my sanity as I battle sinus headaches. I am so grateful to be feeling better!
I have been learning how to play chords on the guitar. My goal is to be able to play a few Christmas songs at Christmas time. I finished reading the first two books of Harry Potter, The Power of a Praying Wife, and You are a Writer.
I have also been working on selecting Preschool and Kindergarten homeschool curriculum for Roman and Annabelle. There are a lot of good choices, but now I need to make the final decision!
Daniel and I finished leading the Summer session of Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University. We are looking forward to leading the new FPU in the Fall!
It’s been a good, laid back Summer. I am appreciating the slow pace while it is here.
