Catching Up on the First 5 Weeks
Roman is 5 weeks old! He is still waking up about every 2 to 3 hours at night to eat. Somehow we wake up in the mornings with energy to get through the day. He is growing fast!
Annabelle has been sick with an ear infection and congestion due to allergies. We have been doing nebulizer treatments with her and they really help. She was also put on Amoxocillin and she had an allergic reaction. She broke out into hives on her face on Thursday and we have had to get a new prescription for her.
On Friday my cold got pretty bad. I quickly called the Birth Center to see what I could take, since I am nursing. The Tylenol Head Congestion Severe has really been helping. I’ve been able to rest some this weekend and I am doing better.
On Monday Roman’s cough and congestion got worse and I called the Pulmonologist today and had a consult on the phone with the nurse. He got two prescriptions and I am now giving him breathing treatments with the nebulizer every 4 hours (even through the night.) So every 2 to 4 hours I am either nursing him or giving him a breathing treatment.
Daniel is working and helping me a lot. We are still getting used to having two, but we love it! Here are some recent photos from the family.
