RCCC Men’s Mission Trip

Here are some pics from last week’s men’s mission trip. Thanks to Jerry for bringing a camera. This was my first time to Reynosa and was certainly the fastest short-term trip I’ve been on 72 hours! Some of the highlights: Finishing the roof on the Pastor’s room, taquitos!!!, great weather, good fellowship, and getting to know some of the guys from the church better.
Uncle Henry did a great job of leading the trip! There were no hiccups, no issues at the border, and the men’s BBQ on Friday night was very impact full.

Daniel and I stayed up until 4 a.m. Thursday night creating a 2:30 minute video of the trip. The video will be shown at church at all three services. We want to upload the video at its highest quality, so it is taking a while to upload. We will post it soon! Or you will see it at church tomorrow morning.

Don’t forget our share night on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. at the youth center of our church. We will also have dessert and coffee. It will be a great night!

When people think of â€˜Missionsâ€™ they usually quote the Great Commission. And thatâ€™s where it stops.

The reality is that the Bible is strewn with the message of Godâ€™s mission to reconcile his people to himself and to each other. Genesis to Revelation shows that Godâ€™s heart is for the nations. He has used people, ordinary people, to carry out this amazing mission. This work continues today.

Today our family is headed to the Philippines. We can’t wait to see how God will use us through this trip.

Our Philippines Missions Team is hosting a super-fun Fundraising Dinner this Friday night at 7:00 p.m. The dinner will be held in the main sanctuary of River City Community Church.

We are serving fantastic Filipino food, Strangers on Earth, an inde rock Christian band will be playing live, AND Filipino Folk dancers! Not to mention a wide selection of delicious desserts.

So come on out and join us if you are in San Antonio! It is going be a really fun night.
