Free Cats!
We have been having some drama with our cats over the last few weeks. About a week ago we threw Samuel out the back door in an emotional response to the situation. Then four days later we got him back inside and decided to give him a second chance. We wanted to get the cats checked out and make sure everything was alright. Samuel had been in the house for about three hours and I was on the phone with the vet when I heard scream. I ran in and found that Samuel had scratched her left ear and down her cheek. Samuel lost his second chance.
We did get both Samuel and Elizabeth checked out and updated on all their vaccines. They are both healthy and fine. Last night I posted them on Craigslist. I am looking for a home for them that doesn’t have small children. Here is a link to the Craigslist’s posting: http://sanantonio.craigslist.org/pet/840841812.html
Daniel and I have had them for about 5 years, so we will miss them. But we have been considering being a pet free house for a few weeks now. With a second baby on the way we will have our hands full with other things!
I am hoping someone will read the craigslist ad. If not, our only other option is a no-kill shelter. And it is unfortunate timing, because they are full with Hurricane Ike rescues. We are praying that God will help us find them the right home.

Good luck!! I have sent the posting to my vet, who puts up the in need of home at her office.
I am sad to hear that you have had to face this tough decision regarding Samuel and Elizabeth. I know how much they have meant to you and yet I can understand how your family’s safety must take first priority. I hope you are able to find a good home for them.
Anna over Samuel. Good call. You guys are great parents!
That first pic is so cute….
