100.6 Degrees, Kara Cookies, Christmas Dress & Ruta Maya

100.6 degrees was Annabelle’s temp this morning. She has had a mild fever for three days. We saw the doctor this morning and she has an ear infection in both ears. I really like the pediatrician and the group we chose. They have been so nice and appointments after hours ROCK.

We had Kara cookies at Rachel and Pete’s baby shower today. I was in charge of the event, but I am forever grateful for Kara, Barb, Cathy, and Renee’s help. I thought it was a nice shower and the Springirth’s were blessed.

Afterwards I ran to a few stores with my mom-in-law. We shopped for a Christmas dress for Annabelle. I want to take a few six-month Christmas photos next week. The one that we found at Kohl’s is super cute.

Tonight I met my friend Melia and her friends, Russ & Michelle, at Ruta Maya downtown. KSYM 90.1 was hosting an event to raise funds and food for the St. Peter, St. Joseph Children’s Home. Russ, is a DJ at KSYM. He played some reggae music in between bands. I learned I can not dance to reggae music. The first two bands were cool, but the third one wasn’t my taste. However, Decaf Mexican Mochas are definitely my taste.

Post-It Car Prank

I saw this car in a parking lot today. I was so excited that I had my camera with me. I am imaging what kind of reaction the person will have when they come out of work to find their car covered in post-its. Awesome stuff. Notice the nice color detailing.

Heidi Said, “Poo-ing Fabric”

Doing my NaBloPoMo duty.

Today was the last day I worked in the nursery during a weekly Women’s Bible Study at the church. I have been working there every Wednesday morning for eleven weeks. When the class first started one baby would only lay on his belly, now he is crawling all over the place and pulling himself up. It has been fun to watch them grow. All the parents gave me really sweet thank you cards and little gifts. It was a nice morning.

Ace and I crashed during the afternoon. She wasn’t feeling well today. Right now she is not sleeping as well as I would like. I can hear her wake up periodically, but I am hoping she will feel better in the morning.

Melia and my Project Runway Premiere Party was a success. Chicken Stir Fry, Samuel Adams (not for me), nutella crepes, and milk. What an interesting combination. It is so nice to have PR back. I completely agree with the judges decisions tonight. I have not picked out a favorite yet, it is still too soon. Is it pathetic if I listen to Tim Gunn’s podcast?

Project Runway: The Fourth Time Around

Eek! Project Runway starts tonight 9:00 p.m. on Bravo. If you want to join Melia and I tonight at our Premiere Episode Party shoot me an email.

Now I have met my self-imposed two reality show limit. Dang. At least they are two of my three favorites TAR and PR! (The third is SYTYCD.)

My Hero

karaandian.jpgKara Spranger is my hero. Her and her husband, Ian, stopped by this evening. While the boys did their thing, Kara and I chatted over dessert cleaning dishes. She actually LIKES to clean. I need to hang out with her more often, maybe she will rub off on me.

Thanks Kara!

What European City Do You Belong In?

I saw this quiz on my friend Dawn’s blog. I couldn’t resist. Take the quiz and come back and write in the comments which European city you belong in.

I completely agree with my results. I would LOVE to go to London one day.

You Belong in London
You belong in London, but you belong in many cities… Hong Kong, San Francisco, Sidney. You fit in almost anywhere.
And London is diverse and international enough to satisfy many of your tastes. From curry to Shakespeare, London (almost) has it all!

Thanks Dawn for the inspiration. She is also participating in NaBloPoMo!

First Day in Nursery

Today’s was Annabelle’s first day in the nursery during our church service. Honestly, it was nice getting to hear a full sermon again. I am very thankful for our nursery workers.

In the spirit of NaBloPoMo I am blogging today.

It was a good thing I cleaned the house earlier this week, because we a had a missionary couple crash at our house last night. Dennis and Linda Collins are missionaries to Ireland. It was a pleasure getting to hear about their lives and their life in Ireland.

I started the day off with Mika’s “Love Today” song. Has anyone else listened to Mika? I think he’s British. It’s a fun cd.

Ace had her six month check up today. She is 15.4 pounds and 27 inches long. She doesn’t have an infection which is good! She just has a regular cold. She got a flu shot along with three other shots. She cried during the shots, but stopped once it was over. Daniel usually takes care of the shots, but I think I was brave and did okay.

We treated ourselves to some Pei Wei take out and to a very French movie. It was a sequel to another French movie we saw a few months ago. I would give you the name, but I don’t want to recommend the movie. It was great to see all the European cities and the couple does get together in the end, but those were the only good things about it.

So, there you go. All about my silly boring life today.
