Project Runway: The Fourth Time Around
Eek! Project Runway starts tonight 9:00 p.m. on Bravo. If you want to join Melia and I tonight at our Premiere Episode Party shoot me an email.
Now I have met my self-imposed two reality show limit. Dang. At least they are two of my three favorites TAR and PR! (The third is SYTYCD.)

i always hear about how amazing PR is. but i don’t think i can do another show. plus my mom’s coming in tonight so i won’t be able to sit down and watch tv. plus, it’s on the same time as LIFE, which is a really good nbc show that more people should watch. but i expect it to be cancelled at anytime. all the good ones are.
how i love and how i miss SYTYCD. we discussed this once before. it’s a good thing it’s only on during the summer because i got very obsessed over it. it was like i was 13 years old. and i STILL heart danny. mm, mm.
but here are my reality addictions. i’m not ashamed. i’m a mom of two and i don’t get out much. it takes little to entertain me these days (ah, who am i kidding? i watched all this crap before kids too):
survivor, america’s next top model (the guiltiest of guilty pleasures), biggest loser, the bachelor (yep, you read that right, Lord have mercy), and TAR. no one is allowed to tell me to get a life unless they want to try living my life for a week!
so project runway? maybe next season. have a fun party!!
I can’t. Really.
You see, I have this problem when it comes to reality shows, and this is a problem that I have recognized in myself and have had to confront. When I watch reality shows, my brain shuts off to the world around me, I abandon my responsibilities, and I begin drooling uncontrollably.
There has to be something that a particular Walgreens pharmacist, who will remain nameless, can prescribe me for these obsessive tendencies.
Yes, Dawn, America’s Next Top Model is the guiltiest of guilty pleasures. I watched a marathon of it last Fall when I was home sick with morning sickness. So I still get a queasy feeling when I think about it.
I think the most bad reality show that I actually watched through the end was Beauty and The Geek. I had to finish it, it is part of my personality. That is also why I am very cautious when I randomnly turn on a reality show. Hence, I got sucked into Top Chef.
Kara, reality show shows don’t necessarily mean than you become brain dead. Although, some could argue that. Just watch a little of The Amazing Race for your cure. It is educational and fun. Something that males and females can enjoy together.
yes, the main thing i learned from TAR is not to call my husband “baby” so often. it’s really irritating to others! educational indeed.
