PROMPTuesday Exercise #2
I am participating in SanDiegoMomma’s creative writing prompts every Tuesday. They are limited to 150 words and have to be written in 10 minutes. No editing. Here is today’s prompt:
In the spirit of TED, an annual conference that challenges the world’s most influential thinkers to give the talk of their lives in just 18 minutes, write an inspirational “speech” in 150 words. Speak to any audience you want: an unborn child, college grads, the elderly, the dying, your younger self, whoever. You can make this silly, serious, sad, angry, scary. Anything goes.
Here is my submission.
(To Annabelle)
First know that God created you and He loves you no matter what you do. Cling to God and study your Bible. It will help you know God better and be wise.
Don’t go into debt. Ever. Not for anything. Study and be smart with your money.
Follow your dreams. Do whatever you have a passion for. Although, you have to go to college. Unless you choose missionary work.
You are a leader no matter where you are at in life. Someone is always looking up to you. Be faithful in whatever you choose to do. Be available to help your friends and family. Always be teachable. You will never know everything.
Have the law kindness on your tongue and watch your words. What you say is powerful. Choose to encourage and build up your friends.
Finally, love yourself. You are a beautiful and intelligent girl! You can do anything!

I hope you printed this out to give to her when she starts reading!
What a great message…
Deb
