Seven Pounds, Two Ounces!
Annabelle turned three weeks old today!
Last week was Annabelle’s two week check up. Everything was great, except she was one ounce off her birth weight at 6 pounds and 6 ounces. Babies are supposed to be back to their birth weight at their two week check up. So the doctor wanted us to come back in today to check her weight. She weighed 7 pounds and 2 ounces!!
She gained 8 ounces in six days! Last Wednesday, we went to a Lactation Consultant to make sure that Annabelle and I were doing this breastfeeding thing right. I have to say that I LOVE Lactation Consultants. Everyone of them have been so nice and encouraging. They are so awesome. Also, they are free through Methodist Hospital! I am so thankful for all the advice Pam, our nurse, gave us! I know if it weren’t for that appointment last week, Annabelle would not have eaten as well as she has in the last six days. It really feels like all the work Annabelle and I have been doing is paying off. Good job, Annabelle!

woo-hoo! I love the lactation consultants too! It really is an amazing resource there at Methodist.
Annabell’s hair is awesome by the way–I hadn’t seen recent pictures yet.
I can’t believe Annabelle is already 3 weeks old! She is so cute! I’m glad to hear that she gained the weight she needed to gain.
Glad to see things are going great. I emailed you on May 17th but may not have the right email address. She’s a cutie. David and I will agree with you with the lactation support. He had them in our hospital room almost every feeding time. We also called them alot when we got home.
