We love the internet. And we love how it makes long distances seem shorter.
Mom, Dad and Samantha are currently halfway through a two week jaunt through Italy (You can follow their trip at mom’s blog). They are traveling light in the technology sense since they didn’t take a laptop along and are only traveling with an iPad. Nevertheless we’ve still been able to keep up with them via Instagram, email, and Skype.
The kids love talking to Fefe, Papas and Samantha, even if they weren’t able to fathom the distance that was covered by our conversation.
As we were updating each other on museum visits, play dates, gelato and potty training, I thought about the monumental difference in the world that I knew as a 3-5 year old and the world that my kids now know at their ages. How much more different will things be in another 20 or 25 years!
